Bob Izumi Wines

Order Form         Fishing Forever Foundation        Izumi Outdoors      Wines

To celebrate our mutual passion for good food and great wine, Coyote’s Run has teamed up with Bob Izumi, the great Canadian Outdoorsman, to produce a set of signature Bob Izumi wines.

The host of the Real Fishing television and radio shows, Bob Izumi is well known as Canada’s most celebrated fisherman, but few know that Bob is a fantastic chef. Of course, pairing food and wine is just a natural extension of his culinary talents.

With the sale of each bottle of Bob Izumi wine $1 will be donated to the Fishing Forever Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to providing fishermen with a vehicle to renew and preserve Ontario's fishing resource for the continued enjoyment of the sport today and for future generations.

Real Cooking

Bob Izumi is unquestionably, Canada's best known and most popular television fishing celebrity.  But what has Bob Izumi got to do with fine wine?

While Bob's fishing career is public knowledge, most people don't know that Bob is also an accomplished cook.  His father, Joe, was a chef at some of Toronto's finest hotels and restaurants and as a boy, Bob spent many hours in the kitchen helping his father prepare meals. " My father passed on to me an uncanny passion and love for the art of preparing fine cuisine.  The kitchen is undoubtedly my favourite place to be in our house," says Bob.

Through his travels filming The Real Fishing Show, Bob has experienced some of the best food and drink from around the world and has become something of a connoisseur of the good life.  despite his outdoorsy television demeanor, Bob Izumi would much rather share a multi-course meal and a bottle of great wine with friends than indulge in the traditional Canadian shore lunch of fried fish, baked beans and a beer.  In 2004 Bob released his first cookbook,  Real Cooking with Bob Izumi.  The 208 page book contains many of Bob's favorite family recipes, submissions from friends and adaptations of meals he has enjoyed during his 23-year career as a traveling fishing show host.
