Coyote's Run is Hiring!

Our estate property in St. David's is well-known for our two different soils, and the soil-specific wines that we have been producing. We currently have 30 acres of estate vineyards planted, with a plan to expand plantings in the future. Though we are well-known as premium producers of Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Cab Franc, and especially Pinot Noir, we know that we need to continually improve our wines. The best way to do that is to invest more effort in viticulture, as great wines are grown, not made. To this end, we are looking to hire a full-time Vineyard Manager to help us deliver the best quality fruit to our cellar team.

The successful candidate will be expected to do the following:
• Build and manage a team of vineyard workers
• In concert with the production team, draft/execute a vineyard plan that delivers the best fruit
• Liaise with other vineyard suppliers as needed
• Work with other Coyote's Run growers to ensure optimum quality of delivered fruit

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:
• Minimum 5 years experience in vineyard management
• Intimate knowledge of cool-climate viticulture and best practices
• Complete familiarity with vineyard tractors and related equipment
• Self-starter, able to work independently
• Goal-driven and highly-motivated
• A team player, able to work and interact with many different players
• Functional knowledge of office software
• Willing to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed

Requirements include the following:
• Possession of a valid ON Driver's License is a requirement
• Possession of a valid Ministry spray certificate
